i.e. Laban ungirded
straw:
Straw, by the eastern mode of threshing, was cut or shattered, and reduced to a kind of chaff. With this, sometimes mixed with a little barley, the eastern people still feed their labouring beasts, as they anciently did.
wash:
"Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:" {Gen 18:4} + "And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways.
